Not that im putting a downer on novas but at this stage of CBA. Scrap?
If i built another id have black gsi, 1600 16v on TBs, custom leather interior, loads of mod cons, (Pas ;)) and just generally loads of trick bits.
Flame red GSI with throttle bodied XE and LSD, something like Nick's old one but with red bumpers.
brazil Brown saloon, Tuned z19dth, brown draylon interior, airbags, bbs.
Im feeling the Z19 engine John :)
Mine would be a well tricked out one I could break for a pretty penny lol Nah probably a GTE in that funny metallic pinky/orangey colour.

Rot free 1.7td, Standard SX in silk violet and SXi mk2 astra front seats to match the rears of the nova. Riding on banded Sx/Sr steel wheels and lowererd around 60mm on coilovers with a 3inch straight through exhaust and a large front mount hidden :)

Mine would be a Sport with an LET, sacralidge but it's what I want.
mine would be a MK2, in smoke gray inside fully stripped and caged, just 2 bucket seats, a flocked dash and polycarbs, with a massive power LET with SCCR box, ATB. coilovers, comp MO flat spokes, massive front mount, and all stickered up :thumb: then i'd go pi$$ off some imprezas :)

26-09-10, 07:10 PM
at the moment its an early mk1 antibes or club in white with carb'd/itb'd small block and NOS all done subtely.. like mick beagle van in total vauxhall mag this month.. lol
2dr saloon with a V8. lol
Im in the process of building "my" perfect Corsa, close enough to a Nova, just a bit better like :P
mustard yellow mk2 4dr saloon, vec vxr 2.8 v6t, 6 speed, vxr heated leather, epas, ac, nav, the works, gsi kit, on tigra b 17's, 4 inch outward rolled zorst.
or A 16V TB, painted rosso red. and with a mk2 dash.
2dr saloon with a V8. lol
.
Silver gsi on speedlines with 1600 8v turbo with 200 bhp :)
Hopefully when my Sport is finished with the 1300 turbo lump in it that will be my perfect Nova
Nova_Tek
26-09-10, 08:11 PM
It would basically be my Nova brought back to metal, fully sorted inside and out, resprayed top to bottom, brand new LET and gearbox, literally brand new everything on some sort of 16" polished BBS style deep dish rims (currently have a 'thing' for them) with perfect ET49 offset, Alcantara/Cream Leather interior.
Pretty much what I actually want done but done lol
Rickardo
26-09-10, 08:19 PM
For me its a choice of 3.
Brett Warburtons
Lee H
Nick Jackson
Any of the above would be the perfect Nova to me.
mk1nova_rich

Wide tracked
Seriously developed Z18XE with a SCCR F13
Pukka weld in cage
Independent Rear suspension
Lots of composite parts
Fully adjustable geometry
But would be built to rally in 2 litre class
but then again... if i had the money to do that i would be building a well sorted Mk2 Escort :d
A mk2, fully stripped and painted inside and out and underneath.
Front and rear tubs with custom coilovers.
Able to have the sills touching the floor.
Zlet,
RWD
Smoothed bay with nothing in it at all.
Custom rims.
Some kinda awesome coloured leather interior.
There's loads more i'd have/do
Isnt it funny how most of posts involved stripped interiors.
I want a carbon dash just to be different lol
craig green
26-09-10, 09:15 PM
GTE body, probably Black.
1.6 16v turbo on standalone management. 200bhp w/out NOS
Pilbeam works coilover suspension etc.
Grey Rainbow SR interior trim w/grey mk2 dash.
caged w/LED brake lights in rear uprights. Epas, stubby mirrors, green tinted glass, opening rear 1/4's
OZ grp-A TH style dealersport wheels.
I want a carbon dash just to be different lol
lol wait till I get a decent vacum pump an ill sort that :p lol
I would love, cherish, adore, abuse an then break for parts a nice genuine works built S1600 GSi.
Isnt it funny how most of posts involved stripped interiors.
Screw that, spec ftuw.
i pritty much got mine :) joys of a compo claim
flame red gte on white 15 inch compo mos sittin low and sleek lookin

Nick J's SR everything about the car is perfect :thumb:

Basically your typical nova, Gsi with tb'd xe diff and speedlines sitting on it's hoop, with black roof lining and a few other bits n pieces. Basically exterior wise Lee h's ( I think ? Black one on speedlines?) or big chaps are both pretty perfect.
.....................til you came to the corner;)
then i would crash and die in a big rusty fireball lol
GTE body, probably Black.

Hang on you've got most them bits!! Get building lol

The only nova i would ever own and want to own is the one i have now so i would get the shell fully stripped down and welded up and resprayed and keep it diamond black.
Although i like the look of mine, if it was a minter i would want to have a full black leather interior, GSi rear seats and cards but with some old escort recaros in the front with matching leather. Black dash with some unique dials and a nice wheel. On the outside would be a full GSi kit on it's **** with some classic MIM wheels in silver. Would have one of those twin headlight grills and an old skool trooper vent or something. Engine wise it would probably be a 2.0ltr on throttle bodies and obviously some very decent suspension and all that crap.
May happen one day but at the moment i cant be arsed spending money on it lol
My SR in 100% finished condition but with no welding having been needed, as for details like wheels etc, I don't know as there is a few that take my fancy but I really like white O·Z Superturismo's would keep it breeze blue with all the trim GSi interior and some decent suspension, my engine but throttle bodied or supercharged.

Part of me would love a massive spec stage car with sequintial box, 1400 with 200bhp etc etc but at the moment I'm enjoying being the underdog, it's rewarding when your up with the big spec cars in a budget car with less then half the power. So I'm not sure wether being in the quickest car out would be the most fun and challenging :s
Early SR on a Y, in white lowered 45-50 on 7x14 Revo RFX, twin 45s, opel badged with Manta 400 Blitz inerior, bronze tint with opening rear windows, engelmann mirrors & euro light rear please.
Im feeling the Z19 engine John :)
Mine would be a well tricked out one I could break for a pretty penny lol Nah probably a GTE in that funny metallic pinky/orangey colour.
Better pic mate.

I would have to say.....
Black GSI
Speedlines
Low
C20let (350ishbhp)
AP 6pots
GSI seats, retrimmed in leather, with heaters.
GSI dash
White dialed GSI clocks
Disk beam
Single Wiper
Offensively loud exhaust.
What I have always thought of as my turbo nova.
Maybe one day soon, it will become reality...
Dans wide ass car with a 1.9 CDTI 150 lump with suitable mods to get 500NM or torque FLAT!
and a suitable box to cope lol.

My first nova, a calypso red merit. Wish i could have it back as it was when i was 17. Would do it very differenty, and hopefully not smash it up again lol I think for it to be perfect you have to build it yourelf, you'll have so much more pride in it.

27-09-10, 07:16 PM
Think some folks have kind of built theirs, I have (to a sensible budget that is!) but maybe in diamond black!.... and maybe a quaife sccr with some more exotic materials inside the engine but there goes that "money no object" bit! lol :thumb:

27-09-10, 07:17 PM
Infact if it was money no object, same looking car as I have (but maybe diamond black!) with yb/evo running gear... Just for the craic

MINT Breeze Blue SRi standard apart from a touch of lowering and Speedlines, much like my SR but in perfect condition!!!

A mint and low mileage MK1 SR in Monaco Blue with Sport backbox and lowered a tad. :thumb:
I remeber that silk violet gsi from a cruise on Southport beach on bank holiday weekend years ago, lovely car loved the Zaf grill in the bumper

My mate bought the car off Matt (S1 RST) and fitted a decent spec LET and F28, then it all went tits up and he broke it, scrapped the shell with loads of decent parts still on. Proper shame
Tis a shame, do you think your perfect Nova may get taxed and come out of the garage forther than your drive next year?
It will be out this year, MOT is due next month!!
Oh and its not my perfect Nova........

It is for Graeme and me. :)
Graeme prefers saloons tbh!!
Any chance of it going further than the mot station and back?
I only prefer saloons so they can be weighed down with loads of stereo

3 miles is more than enough for me.
3 miles is more than enough for me.
I suppose that makes all the money, hard work and headaches worth it, working it out on what it cost to keep it per year that's over £200 per mile, lol lol lol
I don't want more headaches, money and hard work so the easiest way is to use it sparingly!
