View Full Version : Had a Trip in a Blue Oval Earlier
Mate of mine from across the yard, has spent the last 4 years building this contraption in his shed. Powered by a Supercharged Big Block Chevy 8! 520bhp, 900bhp with a pulley change to run more boost. To say it is slightly insane is an understatement, its fcuking bonkers!
Walk through his garage, find this(wonder what he's been up to lol);

That's awesome! Could he not find any bigger filters? lol
fantastic, get the engine specs mate, looks like a b+m procharger, like the old 6-71, with twin predator carbs. btw you sure its a bbc? loks like a sbc to me... exhaust ports and all that....
Edit i think it is a sbc actually.
yeah its an sbc, you can also tell by the water pump outlets...
my uncle had a saturn bodied 33 ford, with a 512ci bbc with a 6-71 and twin preds. fantastic motor, 790bhp and 10 sec qwtrs. thats with out the 200bhp of nos..... :d
Now that looks to be an animal

yeah i didnt think she looked impressed when i turned up in the dayglo dildo!!
Holy funk. That's awesome.
Looks a well finished car and I know fook all about them, but how does it not bother the owners fitting a engine from a rival manufacturer, surely a ford engine of similar spec would of been more fitting, I'm not having a go at all I really am uneducated in the subject
Chevy 8s are better & cheaper afaik
yar, 70million sbc's have been made, tuning is unparralelled for em, and tbh fords sb has breathing issues unless you go for alloy heads, and other tweaks.
and if you have a stonechip in your windscreen or a sunstrip, they can fail you on your mot for not having enough visibility, but you could hit a lot of things cos of that blind spot caused by the filters.... but it is a nice car.
/\ hush you, you'd hear the charger whine long before you see it... lol
