OK so not all of you are going to want to post your total outgoings maybe, but thats fine, it's just a rough guide as to who's got what and what there paying etc etc..

So i will brake it into two parts, how many cars, and how much it is for all of them to be insured and tax and MOT'd on the road (OTR) each year.

I'll start with mine.

Cars X 3

Total OTR cost of x 3 = £1920

Not too bad, but could be cheaper if i had less cars! lol

So if others wish to add to it we could make it a list copy paste style?

Havent really thought about it (but then there's a reason for that!).

Cars OTR - 3
Cars off the road (but insured) - 2

Total cost (guesstimate) £2700 ish

Ouch.

This doesnt take into those that are SORNED and will be OTR soon (2 of)

Quite worrying really once you do start to add it all up!

Makes me think if it's actually worth it,as if i sold all 3 and got something VERY nice/special instead then the insurance would probably be less as well! lol

only way i pay more for more cars is on road tax all my cars are on the trade policy so insurance doesnt go up or down for the amount of cars i have

I refuse to count up, 7 Novas and a daily driver that does 45k a year, will be painful!!!

OK guys, i understand if some of you dont wish to put it on, or think about it! lol but thous who have can we possibly just simplify it like i did in the first post, so it's

Cars x ""

Total OTR = £****

Just makes it easier to read i think?
Cheers.

Yes, i've done my time to get my insurance down so..

And no, i did get to use my work van for to and from home, but now i cant. If my cars not on the road then i get a lift or borrow my dad's car.

About £1100 a year for both insured, taxed, mot's. I don't really worry about the extra cost of having two cars, I wouldn't want to be without a Nova, and its pretty cheap to keep really.

Thats tax, insurance and MOT for both. I could post costs for petrol and other consumables..? lol Worth every penny though. Or at least one of them is :d

For me, it actually works out cheaper to have the two cars rather than one or the other. Which a lot of people (including my parents) can't get their head round, even when the figures are put down in black and white in front of them.
