Sorry for making another courier thread but i may need a bit of advise with pallets.

I have a buyer for a full bm interior and he asked a tnt guy what's the best way of delivering it and he suggested using a pallet. So i got some quotes and they seem cheap enough so we have decided to do it that way. Now i have the problem of packaging it lol

I can get a pallet from work, hopefully they'll be the right size for the courier. Im confident the seats will fit on but the guy also wants the full carpet, it's huge Lol and very akward to bend. Im hoping itl go on the floor and then i can bend the overhanging bits upwards.

My question is though is how do i wrap it? Should i just wrap clingfilm around the whole thing as they do with pallets for supermarkets/etc. Obviously the pallet will stay upright so will i need to secure anything?Ie. wrap everythign seperatly in bubblewrap and tie them to the actual pallet?

I've never done this before and should be fun lol also do you think two people could lift the whole thing onto the back of the truck? Im not going to request a tail lift. The interior isnt heavy, but obviously iv never lift the whole thing up as one lol

Any advice welcome :thumb:

Used to deliver pallets :)

Try and pack it so it doesnt over hang off the edge of the pallet, wrap it in a layer of cardboard then wrap the whole lot in shrink wrap. (cling film type stuff.)

also make sure it is secured to the pallet. It will be loaded and unloaded via forklift onto 5/6 different trucks between you and him :)

Cheers hobbit, il bare all that in mind. Il see what i have at work tonight to use, going to nick a pallet and hopefully find a big roll of shrinkwrap (i've seen it around work somewhere but we never use it), cardboard around it all will make it easier aswell

Brain - Hopefully it won't be some old dude biggest im not the biggest guy there is aswell lol

drain every drop of fluid out of it. then make sure there aren't any sharps sticking out over the edges of the pallet.. its charged on cubic measurements.

Good point, although I'd have thought that was a given...

Yeah its just a bare long-block so no worries of over-hang and its all drained.
