I have finally got my throttle bodied 1.6 16 valve to run reasonably smoothly the problem is when I go to turn the ignition off to stop the engine, the engine is continuing to run (i can take the key out and it continues to run perfectly)

I have a GSI wiring loom although I am not sure if it is from a E16SE or a C16SE wiring loom, I am not sure whether there should be a fuel pump relay on these or not or where it should be located, this is the only thing I think it could be

any ideas?

Both engine types should run a fuel pump relay. C16SE is definately clipped to the bulkhead, sure the E16 is the same.

You should have the pump output on your ECU wired to control the original relay, makes everything so much easier.

I thought they were located there!

On the original GSI wiring loom I assume they must be on the engine loom part rather than the loom for the rest of the car (the loom that does the lights etc)?

On the earlier loom yes. On the SRi with the C14SE loom everything is lumped together so not sure if the C16 is the same but still it's part of the ECU wiring not the cabin/instruments

Are thats why I don't have it then, I have the GSI loom for the car but not the engine loom
