:confused: if anyone can help my 91 gsi nova is very difficult to engage any gears when it does it still drives till i press the clutch in then it feels like ive yanked the handbrake on had it all apart several times only thing ive found is the cv joint on driveshaft is stiff when hes jacked up diff works fine just a whining noise from gearbox side :thumb:

i assume you filled it with the proper oil?

are you sure its not a brake seizing problem, cos f13 boxes are fantastically reliable

all links are good oil is new some small flakes of metal in gearbox end just where the driveshaft inputs but me thinks it could be where the driveshafts causing friction and hopefully not gearbox i know a guy by me who races novas an corsa b he thinks it could be the selector fork in the gearbox but as i say when its jacked up it will go thru all gears no worries as soon as theres load on the front it locks in gear press the clutch an it jams and forward motion ceases or should i say it rocks back an forth this is buggin me now will end up rippin it all out new engine new gearbox but a wanna leave him standard
