i have noticed in the last few days if am braking and coming down the gears in car park the gear box make no sound. but if i go in to first and drive at slow speed s looking for a space there is a loud winding sound on the box. so it look like it back to vauxhall to see wat they say i have only had the car 2 weeks this Thursday :( . or and it leaking water in to the spear wheel well and the n/s/f window rubber has been damage when it was fitted. so it got go back for them to
lol good old vaux build quality. the leak into the boot is more than likely the rear light seal, the box sounds like the end bearings are unhappy, and a dodgy trim is nowt really.

Danny it does really matter how much it has cost or who it has come fromat the end of the day it should be built to a standard that is acceptable and its not. Just take it back and get them to fix it properly.

Nah Spaztab Get Em Cheaper, As Its A Contract Hire, So Vaux Estimate An End Value, And Deduct That From The New Price,
Eg:
Astra £21,000
Astra @ 3yrs Old: £10000
Motab Price: £11000
Easy.
i seem to remember your last thread about getting it and saying if you can still back out do it now lol

It's not just Vauxhalls that suffer this quality issues. It's a mass produced product at the end of the day. Which is still not an excuse, but with the retail prices of them being so high, you would expect near perfection.
The howling/wind noise is definately not acceptable. The gearbox sounds like typical Vauxhall fare tbh. Just make sure if they say it's getting replaced, it is instead of having grease pumped into it or similar...
Out of interest what would a BMW 1 series cost?

Too true! My dad got his new Merc friday. I popped round after work for a nose...scratches around the passenger headlight on the wing! Needless to say its going back for repair tomorrow!
lol Went with him to the showroom saturday...salesman asked how i spotted it. His valeters are obviously useless...he asked who i worked for, new model team @ Honda!!
