zafira spark problem

got a 1.6 zafira has not got a spark on cylinder 4 changed coil pack still no spark checked with snap on scanner no codes checked through funtions with it still no spark all i can think of is the ecu has gone any one else go any ideas cheers.:thumb:

Stupid qeustion, but I take it you've checked cyclinder 4's spark plug?

yea i have mate took the coil of put a new plug in the coil and checked it.

Checked it how? It has to be earthed if you're checking it outside the engine.

Try another new coil pack.

i have tried 2 coil packs all ready checked it throug functions on scanner it was earthed mate.

Just a thought, when i worked at vauxhall, my 1.6 astra sxi developed a mis, i replaced the coil pack and plugs, still the same, was cured by a software update on ecu, done via tech2 at dealer.
