Anyone using a USB wireless dongle jobber to connect to a router?

I keep breaking wifi PCI NICs and seen as my new motherboard has a) a shoiteload of USB ports and b) only two PCI slots, both of which are pretty much obscured by the gfx card, I'd like to try a usb dongle.

Never tried one before though so a little unsure what they're like...

Had several netgear ones, never noticed any difference between being hardwired, or on laptop - other than a split second when you switch on when its connecting....

Adam, does it still show up in the networking devices bit of the control panel as per a normal NIC? So I can set IP address etc..?

Yes mate, you can set IP/DNS etc etc just like you can with a NIC.
Mine only cost £8 too.
