does ne1 kno if the 1.7td out of the astra vans fit a nova as it would be very rapid and i aint heard of it bein done b4

it has, theres 1 for sale on mig and iv been considring this for sometime now. its not 'that' difficult, you need an engine mount making as its not a direct fit, you also need to use the 1.5 gearbox and unless u want loads more work make sure u fit it in a nova that was already a deisel.

lad that comes on here has done it ill wait for him to tell you the rest :)

im not plannin on doin it was just wondering about it cos i kno how kwik the vans are i recon it would at least b as kwik as a 2.0 8v

with some very cheap engine mpds yes it produces alot of power

might b vorth rememberin as a future project as i gotta finish the one im doin and then i got another planned after that just money b the prob at the mo

oh its quick!
its very quick
70 - 90 in about 5 seconds
just with fuelling done, intercooler & 15lbs boost

it is a big job but it can be done, i can help give info but you do need to cut the back of the engine to mate it to the f13 g/box.

its not - its just time consuming because you have to change the fuel lines & tank

no mike i think u just have to change em cos you aint spose to mix petrol and diesel are u and even if u i dunno tho just guessin

id sod the lines though - people put wrong fuel in cars all the time and when its gone through the system its fine. dont do no damage does it?? not small amounts, not on older cars

diesil in a petrol engine = smokey exhust for a few weeks

petrol in diesil engine = not much in small doses....diesils are quality
