hi all as most of you know i need an engine for my nova but was thinking of i got an spi lump and bolted a carb+ manifold on it and a mechanical fuel pump would it just be the same as an earlyer carb engine? i was told there was somthing different with the head but now im not sure?
thanks in advance rick.

1.2 carb heads have cathedral ports, 1.2 heads have square ports, It will run, but not perfectly.

you'd need to swap the cam carrier over too

im doing the same, but i kept my carb head, so do i just fit car head and inlet manifold/carb on spi bottom end?

as said above ricky you either need the carb head as the mount for the mech fuel pump is blanked off on the spi or a low pressure electric fuel pump
