Well just got back from a greatly needed last minute holiday in Teneriffe. Whilst I was over there I had a car out for a few days to explore the island & I was pleased to find there was plenty of Corsa A's still kicking around!
I was last there in 2001 and I cant remember seeing that many but on this visit I must of seen way over 30 of them! Most did not have a spot of rust on them, even the early ones but they were all battered(I think its the law in Spain/Canaries/Balearics to have a dent on every panel of the cars). There was only one I saw which was mint, a red Mk2 GSi in red which strangely had not gone pink despite all year round sun on the island:wtf:
Anyway, most were spotted on the move so only have a couple of pics(Plus I didnt want to look a tw@t taking pics of a battered old shopping trolleylol
Here is one of the first I spotted, found at random whilst finding a parking space. I thought it had been abandoned due to its condition but wasnt there on our return. It looks like about an 86 looking at the bump strips. Also parked next to it was a black Mk1 GSi(Nova GTE).

See what I mean about them being battered. Also note the rat look roof lol
This early poverty spec mk1 was in our resort of Los Gigantes. Must have been an 83/84 and had the red/orange interior. It was very very basic with no bump strips and the rear quarter cards were just flat with not armrest or ashtray.

Oh and just one last pic, the daily sunset from our 4 star hotel each night...
