Hi all just joined club tonight, was a member of the original club years ago but when i put my white L reg nova GSI to rest whilst i had my daughter and had to get the sensible bigger car to accommodate the huge pram i let my membership go too. Anyway present day i have woken my nova after 7 years in storage and apart from a tiny fuel leak and brakes ceized on its past its MOT and is just waiting for a shiny new tax disc then its out for a well earnt run about. Unfortunately for me i have to sell the car and would like to here from anybody that would be interested in buying a near mint condition all original bodywork/wheels L reg (one of only a few) white GSI. Thanks

wow sounds quite a find, l-reg.
White gsi's are best in my opinion; contrasts well with the black vinyl and red stripes..
so we gonna get you to 15 posts then? lol

I am reasonably sure Limplamp knows the difference between a nova and a corsa.
There will have been a lot more than twelve L reg novas and it is entirely possible to see one on an M reg if it didnt sell and wasnt pre registered then it will have gone on the current year once registered (but iirc this doesnt apply anymore btw)
duick might know more about the 'L reg Nova' you should ask him

How much did you get for yours?
o ryt dont think that lad has seen a M reg nova van surely not must have been a corsa
Van production continued longer than hatch until the new (at the time) corsa van was ready to go.
BT had a large number of M plate Nova vans at one time.

ive done a secret deal with power crazy whos building my old black gsi back up and then hes going to be putting a engine in the rear of the white L reg one selling that and then swapping the reg over to his nova and using the L reg on his demo car for his buisness
are all l reg white or somethink
Not all of them are. Jason Hudson had a silver one way back when.
However if they were making vans it's not a stretch to imagine they were all white and the last GSi's were part of the same 'batch' if you like.

Its only a date it went on the road (registered) I certainly wouldnt go out of my way to pay over the odds for an L plate Nova. We all know mk1's are made of better steel.
The car in question looks nice & well loooked after however. GLWS.
please pm me the history and mods from standard. i am seriously interested in this car. cheers.

Thought you were selling your xe as your off in a few weeks?
ive found out i can take a standard car into australia, as a personal import. hence selling the xe. plus mr mortgage society has graciously given me some "extra funds"... this would be perfect.
Tut, blatant for sale thread not in the novatrader area  But I'll let it go as it seems a sale has already been worked out and this has turned into L reg chat.
I've seen a fair few L reg's around, although they've all been white/black/silk GSi's and other coloured vans. I personally don't value them any more than a K reg tbh, as Craig said its just a later registration - so just the dealer selling off any old stock that has quite likely been sat around for months doing nothing. I seriously can't see them building any Novas in 1993 once Corsa production had begun!

The date of build is in the vin IRC. take my old sport build date was 84 but had plate on a c and the first registered early 86 . So id have to agree mate shouldnt make any more or les than a k reg.
But i like and would be interested pm me:thumb:

Just to clarify a few things, i can assure this car is not "a rotter underneath" and the reason there is no price is because i have no idea on the value of the car. I have just put the car back on the road after a long time in storage and have taxed and insured for six months so i can run it on a weekend to see how it runs before i sell it.
if its been sat, do a cambelt just so it dont snap...
Why not just use this site and a few others to see what is selling and what isn't, There are plenty of clean examples in the cars for sale section, personally I think if you've had it for that long in storage, I'd leave it there until next years shows and see what interest you get there or fit some speedlines and lower it 100mm and fit a let and enjoy it

Cut it up, and fit a let:)
a totally original gsi should be kept that way... to remind lots of people just what they ruined...

You have a point, but to me (abit mad) 300bhp c20let, coilovers, brakes and speedlines would finish that car off perfectly.

A car like that should be kept as is. With no modificatons whatsoever ;)

Ruined what? A slow 1.6 Nova that doesn't handle well as standard?
I've ruined 3 Gsi's in that case!

Good Lee:d lol
I still dont see the ghay attraction to a GSI in stock form, saying that, Im using the 10k minter as a daily smoke for 12 months, then its going to undergo a paint job and GSI kit, then it will move onto other things over time:thumb:
Im using the 10k minter as a daily smoke for 12 months,
Do you have a licence?! lol
Also, running a very clean old car through the winter = fail. If you keep on top of it then it's OK but it still doesn it no favours! Especially if you then pimp it out for mega bucks. lol

No problem with running an old car in the winter as long as it's maintained
Pump it full of underseal and Waxoil
Ok, closing this as its still a blatant for sale thread. OP, please make a new thread in the for sale section if you are serious about selling - as for prices, have a look on here, Pistonheads, ebay, autotrader etc to get an idea of price.
