Right heres the deal: Ive got 2.0 16v brakes, on 16s, the wheels are coming off in june and are gona be sent off to have a refurb and other stuff, anyway! I wana get 14 inch steelies or similar on, the rears not a prob, but can i grind some of the caliper to get them on the front, will this be ok or not recommended, does anyone know how much is needed to make them fit etc etc?

Cheers for advice in avance!

can you not do 2 wheels at a time?? send the back ones away then put the steel ones on the back then when u get them back put the re-furbed ones on the front and send the others away

get some 15" steels!

if not just make sure you get some modern ones eg: corsa's etc, cheaper and easier to get some fucked wheels to sit it on eg: my softstars im selling!

they probly are 14 inch steelies or whatever, but they wont be nova ones

trust me i been there done that and with new pads and sics the smallest wheel u can get on is 15"

u need to find a 14" of an astra or similar i think it is - these steelies fit.

failing that buy two wheel spacers for the front and bobs ur uncle.

think they are ?5 from our local motorfactors.

some 16v callipers as found on dohc corsas and astras are only 20mm thick discs and are designed to fit behind 14" steelies/alloys

the caliper sits about 3mm away from the wheel with astra/cavvy steels in 14"

its NOT gonna fit under a 13" wheel
