Fuel pump fittings (non GM)

Or I guess it could apply to GM also, anythign with an inline pump I suppose.
What type of fitting is required to allow 8mm ID fuel hose to fit over the bottom outlet of a pump like this? Dunking 8mm hose in boiling water isn't up to the job.

The raised lip is just a shade too large for the pipe, is there an adaptor from 9/8.5mm down to 7.5/8mm or something?

Or try another pump if really no joy? As its external surely any one that pumps to the right pressure (as required) should be fine, unless there's a specific mount that restricts the size...
