not too good at wording things but the problem i have is that i am fitting a c20xe into a J reg 1.2 non injection. i think i have all the parts required but am unsure what goes where:confused:

i have changed the smaller (brown) fuel line with a larger 8mm copper line from front to back.

a few pics of the tank.

Isn't that a carb tank? It won't have a swirl pot if it does

The pump bolts to the inside of the chassis on the passenger side the holes are usualy there, usualy use rubber washers too I think

You would be easier getting a gsi/gte tank instead of running an external swirl pot

If I remember eight the big inlet is for the filler neck the one at the rear is to the pump and the one at the front is the return I think the rest are breathers or something

I'm using a gsi tank with that pump was a while ago I fitted mine and could be different

You will also need to fit a return pipe

I used copper pipe with an ID of 8mm for both feed and return

Yes from the tank to the filter then pump then to the rail

tank to pump to dyaphram damper to filter to pressure regulator to rail to injector to return to tank, ( standard layout on gte/gsi nova manta inj astra gte16v)

if the filter was before the pump and got blocked the pump may run dry, the external pump is protected by a gauze on the end of the fuel pick up pipe.

do you have both tank straps on the car? is the filler neck there? is the breather hose still conected to the filler neck? do you have tea and biscuits in stock?
