View Full Version : Tis a sad, sad day..
Now I know thread will be completely pointless to 99.9% of the people on here..but i feel a strange urge to post this..
I've just sold my Cav V6
Its the first car i've ever sold, so never gone through this before...I became quite attached to it as its been the family since it was 18 months old, and watching it drive away has left a little lump in my throat...
Bye bye old friend...

To a friend who wants its heart and 5 stud etc for his cav, so i suppose some of it will live on..

iv just sold my impreza but i wont be around to see it go , iv left that job to the mrs lol
I know how you feel - I was very sad to see my cav go to the scrap yard on the back of a truck - had it for 8 years and never let me down once!:cry::cry::cry:
Mine did twice, both times it was a dead alternator caused by warped rear rocker cover leaking oil onto it..
You're an Epic Fag for selling it.
I cried when I sold this, posted a thread and had Lee screaming at me like a Homo. It sadly got written off and broken. Sad when you consider how few are actually left over here.

i miss my pre ecotec gsi :(

I know, but we really needed to thin the fleet out (4 T&T'd cars for 2 people) and get something more economical and preferably an estate with 2 dogs and a bump so when Tina's Dad said he was swopping his car i said we'd have it.... and; tbh it starting to piss me off putting fuel in all the time, £65 = 300 miles if i was lucky..:wtf: Even so it will be sorely missed...
I honestly can't see how people who spend years building a car can break them so easily
About the best i have on PB atm

aye .. it doesnt look like it in the driving away pic without the private plate on in the dark lol
so the audi avant next is it chris?
Arrows and all? I saw a set of these, 5x110s, sell for £600 in NI recently.
Yes Dave, in a few weeks hopefully, Tina's Dad's new car is stunning!
Still got the Arrows in the garage Dod, but one has a crack, not sure what to do with them tbh..
If you wanna sell them, PM me.
They are only gathering dust atm, and the cars gone now so no use to me, got 4 x 6-7mm tyres too..cba shipping them to NI though..
Well I can arrange a currior, all you have to do is hand them over......

I swapped my cav sri 16v for a frontera 4 years ago and i regret it to this day.
It got through 5 c20xe's, 3 f20's 2 interiors a gsi bodykit and 3 sets of suspension, not to mention untold brake pads and clutches.
Feeling your pain but at least you still got the memories

Seing a Cav go is always really sad. Oddly, scrapping or selling a Vectra is a liberating and welcome experience.
Didnt think i'd ever see the day that you sell that Cav Mazz!!!!
its too easy to get attatched to cars. when i sold my old astra it broke my heart. then it did it again 2 days later when i got a letter from the police saying it had been stolen and written off :(
Didnt think i'd ever see the day that you sell that Cav Mazz!!!!
I know, but I really would stupid(er) if I didn't have this Audi, it makes sence
Dod, if your serious will take some pics of wheel and send them over

Mazz you'll get over it, lol i see my old Passat everyday, as a mate from work bought it, i just keep hoping it outlives the time he owns it! lol
Mazz, sent me a price first and if its agreeable we can sort pics then.
I get terribly attatched to my cars. I didnt sleep the first night I sold my SX Nova, jebus but I was glad to get it back.
Would you want tyres? 2 x 1000 mile old Eagle f1's and 2 x Khumo which were on the back?

And me looking smug after the Cav broke the Rolling road :p It kicked down at about 100/110 and blew a resistor pack inside the RR!
