hiya
Just realised that the input shaft on a F18 won'fit straight onto a c14nz motor........
Does anyone know where i can get such part or is it a specialist job???
Cheers
Andy:(

why are you putting an f18 onto a 1.4?
It's for a rwd conversion for autograss m8 and i got the box cheap!!!!
Think it's the same input shaft as an f20 ?????
The input shaft won't fit a c14 clutch plate!!!
Any info any one has please let me know.....
Thanks
Andy

you need an F10,13 or 15. You will be able to pick one up for less than £40 depending on what ratios you are after. Im pretty sure an F18 is quite a tall box anyway
fit a 2.0 onto the f18 and have done, or as said if you must run 1.4 then you want an f13cr.

For autograss you want an f13wr.
Cr is no good, as 1st is only off the line rob:thumb:

Only use 1st and 2nd gear...If u r using 3rd you r either doing it wrong or its seriously wet....lol
look at mk1 astra 1.6 petrol & diesel clutch plates..... i really don't know what diameter clutch is fitted to a c14nz
edit... your engine will have a 190mm clutch. the smallest big block one is 200mm & from some 1600/1800 astras
i really don't know if it will fit. you might need to machine it down a bit on the outside.
or you could try to fit the bigger clutch assy, it might fit straight on or you might need to redrill & tap the flywheel..
