Got a phone call from a friend couple of days ago, saying "Liam, your old novas in max power!"
So went down the shops and picked up a copy, basically the lad who had it after me has completely lied through his teeth about the car! i could not believe it, claiming he done all the work etc.
not sure if any of you guys remember the car, but I thought I had got it to the stage where it was just right and you will see from the pictures I think it went a but ott after my ownership.
Heres the article from max power.... sorry if i just sound like a jealous ex-owner :D gutted though, i miss my nova :(

what an a**hole i know where your coming from you put alot if time and effort in to this made it pefect in your eyes then he goes and takes all of your credit if i were you id right to max power

same thing happended when my mate restored a bmw 2002 but it was in retro rides i think.

to be fair though it may not have been 100% his own words
sometimes with mags and stuff they do cut chop trim and stretch what may have been said to create a more interesting article for people to read as im sure you understand.

That's 100% about the wording being fcuked about with! They just make stuff up on occasion too!

yeah i know they can twist said words for a more interesting story, but it does read as if the guy bought it from the guy I bought it from (if that makes sense) and then did all the work himself.
the annoying thing is, i know the bloke! i even text him about it and he was just making excuses of how they made it all up! i cant see them making all of that up. and the 200bhp! what a joke! lol

would have been standard 150bhp, maybe a little bit more with the exhaust and air filter but definatly not 200bhp!
It looked slightly different when i sold it, black team dynamic wheels, cobra monaco buckets seats with black 4 point harnesses, o and standard rear lights

well the cheeky fook taking all the credit for your work but thats life matey!! id send some pics into max power when it was your's! at least then they know its your handy work and cash not his!! looks nice though i have to say!

I really like that actually, has a sort of porsche GT3 RS feel to it, sold onto the roads, ready for the track kinda thing with the full doorcards, but in carbon, internal shifter with carpets etc

i've just written up an email explaining my whole ownership of the car and what i did etc. but tried to sound like i wasnt some jealous boob who is trying to get some glory! lol

plunky, i remember when you came to mine in Bordon to pick up parts off me.
That was about year ago and was looking good then.
I dont now how he has got the audacity to try and claim all credit for that..

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your feature "previously owned" car lol

All I can say is he's a sad individual to take someone elses credit but I'm a big believer in karma so it will all end in tears I'm sure ;)

Hm, if he is saying that HE had all the work done, then yeah there's grounds for a legal case against him (not the mag, as they're just reprinting what he told them... to a certain degree). Buy the car off him and have it re-featured lol

funny thing is i think it has already changed hands about 3 times since this lad had it, otherwise, if i had the cash, i would have almost definately bought it back! maybe one day :D

Firstly, bad luck on someone buying it and then max featuring it, must feel very degrading! lol

and secondly, i find it quite funny that he, or the mag are sad enough to lie the balls off, and then 3rd'ly i love the fact that my old inlet pipe i sold you years ago has made it into a mag feature! lol lol lol
