Has anyone got any pointers or tips for cleaning aluminium parts like a thermostat housing etc, its only road grime and water corrosion. I was hoping there was something I could soak them in rather than wire brushing them

Thanks in advance

Get one of them square bottle 5l water bottles, cut it in half, fill with hyperclean/ some other good cleaner, add a paint brush and tooth brush.. = Parts cleaner.

It's what i use and works great.

my old fave, mr muscle oven cleaner is still pretty rapid at cleaning mucky stuff up, and a wire wheel on a bench grinder is also good
