View Full Version : In-car bluetooth mp3 player?
Right guys, I'm after something like this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CAR-MP3-BLUETOOTH-wireless-FM-Transmitter-Modulato-UK-/280552772053?pt=UK_AudioTVElectronics_PortableAudi o_MP3Players&hash=item41523f91d5) just a little more discreet..
Basically I want to use the car original stereo, but want (need!) mp3 playback..
Any got any ideas, or other suggestion? Fire away!
Fit another 12v socket (hidden)?
Don't really want to go ripping the car apart though (Audi A4)
Have you not already got another socket in the boot?
It doesn't really require ripping it apart TBF lol. A couple of clip on trim panels is all you will really need to remove.
I hear ya though!
They are sh*te my dad has one.
Dont new Audi's have mem card slots? Cant you use one of them..?
Mazz, what head unit has it got? i-pod adapter kits can be bought that mate into the loom.

Not sure tbh John, not got it yet, but it's a 52 plate if that helps! I know it's a single cd player though.

Whats the budget chris?
like john says for ipod: connects2, or similar i-pod adapter - charges ipod and you can control off o.e headunit.. fitted completely out of sight
£50 + tho..
Its nearer £150 for summat that does both, bluetooth and ipod..

It'll give you bluetooth A2DP streaming, MP3/WMA playback from USB stick, SDCard, a line-in and also an iSod interface for those afflicted with them.
AND it's a handsfree kit for your car so you don't get caught for being a cnut with your phone on your ear while driving (and the fine/points that goes with that)
I have one in my car.
iv got a Parrot MKi9200 - Bluetooth hands-free car kit in the zafira you can stream music bluetooth from a iphone with out any leads also though it comes with a usb and ipod lead so you can charge your ipod also use the wheel control to change tracks then and a headphone lead so it can be used on a number of different things and the leads hide in the glovebox.also it can be updated on your pc if new software or new phone is released.i think i paid about 150 fitted with lead you need for your stereo
