Hi all

Been busy today making my normal Diesel dash to take a after market boost gauge... thought you guys might be interested to see it so here is some photos

Well I started by removing the dash and taking the boost guage to bits to get the dial out..

As I was removing the Charge light I had to fit one some where else.. I found a old donor clock set laying around and cut the charge light lense out then removed the Towing light lense and replaced with charge light

Then I wired in a ignition live (black wire) to the bulb behind it and a earth to the alternator (bluewhite wire).
Job done..

Now on with fitted the gauge

Had to drill a hole to mount it

I then painted over the logo on the dial and fitted

Wants a bit of adjustment as its a touch low but works perfect and is kinda cool and OE looking, just need to fitt 6 white leds for the dash!

Cheers all Dan

Good attempt. Did you paint those needles red or buy them?

Looks pretty good that but why do your dial faces look like theyre covered in clear slime, have you laquered them?

Yeah had to as I painted bit of them with a brush, you can't tell the laquered when there in though

Cheers

Does look rather well that mate, quite impressed by that, saves having a guage chopped sloppily into the vents or something like most peeps do lol

was thinking the same id rather have it in the gauges than mashed into the vents or one off those sh*t pillar mounts!!
good job though dude!!

looks good that mate, just an idea but could be cool if you fitted a clock (for time) in the other space, like what you get in the dash then just fit a coin holder black there!!

cool , not seen that done before with the smaller gauges..
i am a fan of modifying the clocks - since seeing i think its toymex's old sport where a stack rev counter had been fitted in place of the o.e one in the instruments binacle.. looks good too

Mine were in the clock hole, its a 52mm guage , I am goin to get a clock I think as I need one :D

52mm? That's pretty much standard for gauges. Gives me an idea...
