so if you have looked at my recent posts in here you would know im having trouble getting any sound from the starter iv striped the car basically and was just searchin the net and found something on clucth switches

thought nothing of it until i pressed my clucth in being curious

funny tho as it only engages the solenoid when the clucth is half pressed not fully pressed and still wont spin the starter?

does anybody know if mk2 novas have these switches on them and if so what do i do lol theres no wires on the actual clucth pedal or even on the clucth cable but there is two wires and a plug on the side of the box a brown and white and a black wire

anybody have any ideas im stumped

Nothing that will stop it starting. The switch you've found is for the reverse light.

Has the box/flywheel been swapped between running and now not? Is the starter seized? Tap it with a small hammer or spanner.

thanks for the quick reply mate
i thought it was nout..

funny you should say that its a 5 speed box when it should be 4 on the 1.0
the starters fine checked it before we put it on.
what you make of the clutch thing then?
as i can only get the solenoid to click when i press the clutch in half way
