im going round in circles here lol basically im having alot of trouble and seem to be eliminating most things

my nova 1.0 been xe'd before and rush job on refitting the 1.0 and it also got stolen so the ignition barrel is just a black box (which i fitted)

after many many days looking at wiring and changing bits i still have nothing

all the wires am perfect non touching or bare...
new starter motor and batt is fully charged...
theres power going to the starter as iv just checked with the multi meter
but for some reason no matter what i try when you turn the key nout happens not even a click from the solenoid all the ignition lights come on but when i crank it nothing happens its really getting to me now as im usually pretty good at fixing stuff but this has me beat

any ideas to what it could be

so far iv...
changed starter motor (tested with batt and solenoid and starter both work)

striped back all the wiring loom to check for breaks (no breaks)

tried multiple combinations of wiring (as in tried all the wires in diff position)
on the ignition barrel, the starter and the coil.

traced back every wire which dont have a place to go and in a prev thread have fount out they wouldnt stop it from starting anyways.

so anybody ever had this happen?
any clues / ideas would be very much appreciated thanks

When you turn the key, have you got a switched live voltage at the solenoid? Could it be an immobiliser or alarm that is at fault?

well it depends what you mean by turn the key iv turned it so its on ign and checked the starter it showed up 25.8 i couldnt get to the solenoid as i havnt got my jack here.. and theres no immob or alarm on it so that cant be it....

gearbox earth is fine from what i can see ...
