can someone please tell me where these wires go arrgghh

lol as above im having trouble getting power to the starter moter and basically after lots of head scratching have fount some wires that dont go anywhere....
this car has had a 2.0 in previously and when they put the 1.0 back in they didnt bother to put everything back ....
i havnt a clue where they go for all i no every wire on the car is wrong lol
anyways the wires..

i have a green wire thin not the thick one and it comes from the side of the dizzy and does a loop its been taped to the loom and has a connector on the end for a spade end to go in... what goes in there and from where?

i have a blue and yellow wire that comes from the back of the dash (not connected there) has a spade connector and goes down to the bay and funnily enough isnt connected to anything there and has a circle type connector wheres bothe these ends go?

on my coil i have a green wire which goes to the clocks and a black earth and theres a 3rd connection which has nothing connected?

iv got a big thick blue wire with spade end connector thats in the bay and not connected wheres this go?

and finally i have two brown wires behind the clocks not connected?

sorry about no pics guys my cam dont want to connect to the pc :mad: ill keep trying but if you can help that would without pics that'd be great :)

im not a complete muppet btw iv looked endlessly and tried to fathom out where thse wires go but so many combonations to try ive gave up lol

there all very visable wires well on mine anyways haha
if you read this can you have a nose under your bonnet for me and just see where they go?

To the oil pressure switch-the clocks

green is rev counter,black isnt an earth its a switched live for the coil,or at least should be

These should be the bulkhead earths

none of these should actually stop it from starting should they?

oh and i have two diff green wires one comes from side of the dizzy slightly thicker that the one from the coil... and the one on the dizzy dont go anywhere just has a open connector which looks like a spade end should fit in...

that first green wire you mentioned isnt needed so can be left taped up, as both the green wires are actually joined together so whichever one you connect to the coil will give an earth signal to the clocks :thumb:

it was a similar story to my Nova, originally a 1.0 then a SEH and now back to a 1.3 so loom is a right mess. I have removed the whole lot from the car to strip unnecessary wiring and run fresh wires to replace the crappy bits

but its actually connected to the dizzy properly not push fit if you get me? iv made another thread btw see if you can thathom it for me lol

ah crap sorry i misread your post, there is a green wire on the loom which it might connect to

lol no worries... this is why im goin in circles whoever put this car back together needs shooting lol

personally i would fit a 1.2 or 1.3 as the wiring is much easier, then tidy up the loom as necessary :thumb:

mate if i had the cash it would be a 1.6 or higher 1.0 for me is not enough anyways besides the extra un-needed wires lol
