any one no anywhere a can get a cheap one or borrow/hire one?:thumb:
use the poor mans method.... drop it onto the floor & lift the shell over the top.
failing that, ring a local tool hire shop.

thanks got intouch with tool hire shop but its like £30 a day and £15 every other day so gonna but one what are the ones off ebay like the ones at £199.99 any one had any ecsperice with them thanks rob

a few off my mates chiped in on one from tool mart i think cant remeber how much they paid between the 3 but it worked out cheaper than renting one. its pretty much had none stop use since aswell!
and vausey should be ok mate as i said my mates one was only cheap and they've had no problems with it and they've had it a few years now!

think i paid 170 for mines from machine mart;)
does that work, my td was a tad heavy !
remove wheels, lower engine & box onto pallet unbolt everything incl suspension & take the bumper off, then stick 2 bars into the bumper holes & wheelbarrow it off
just about to post that/\ long scaff bar is perfect...
Meh i fitted my xe and removed 3 engines now with only a trolley jack and a couple of wheels.I AM a vauxhall hero.......
1.2 out, 1.4 16v in, 16v out, 12v out, 12v back in, v6 in.
Hoist is for wimps.
2.0 with a scissor jack and some rope and a scaff bar. thats win.

was a case of bloke fetching engine early Saturday morning, and the engine still being in the car Friday night and having no lifting tackle :( never doing it again
