as titled, for example
when i come to a junction and put the clutch it and let the revs die down so it on idle it will almost or just cut out unless i rev it a little, will do it more under heavy braking:(
any ideas:confused:

forgot to say it don't do it when engine is cold, its a 1.6 16v

Sounds like the speed transducer ain't working. Have you wired one in? Have you wired the engine management light in?
My car does this as well never figured it out I tried cleaning the icv bit one of the bolts snapped so I just left it alone lol
Heck your vac pipes aswell

^ yep sounds like idle control valve , worth checking vacuum pipes too.
Prob valve needs taking off and carb cleaning tho..

The ICV only works if the speed sender (VSS or transducer etc) is wired in & present.
