went to go look at a nova where i live today,

its a A reg mk1, sprayed in metalic blue colour
had a brown dash. with blanking plates etc,
which the bloke says all came with it, he had fitted a 1600 GTE engine but says it was a 1.3 when he had it.

basically what A reg nova's came with a brown dash bar the early SR's
and came in a metalic blue colour?

A blue one with a brown dash. The brown stuff isnt sport specific, though it seems the door cards minus pockets were.

There are 2 shades of Brown plastics used.

Pics would help.

unfortunatly i didnt get any pics as it was a last minute view as i was going past his house.
if it helps it had to black stripes that ran down the wings, doors and rear all around apart from running on the bonnet.

bloke was after £500 for it, in very good condition, only mark i could find was on the drivers wing where theres a little dent on it, dry stored for 9 years :)

Lynz's Seat trim is the Nova (base model) "Domino" and no rubbing strips, L and SR's had rubbing Strips (clip on) according to the brochure;)

Does this narrow it down?

I assume the blue must have been introduced soon after my brochure was printed

I also have an '87 brochure that listd Merit, L GL and SR trim levels

There is a pic of a GL saloon in a light met blue (Monaco) maybe that is the new colour?;)

Just as a side issue, I have a D plate 1.2 saloon 4dr in red that has a brown dash, grey carpets and cream seats/door cards, origonal but doesn't match:wtf:

it has the rubbing strips on :)

Possibly an L then;)

What is the seat trim, should be Piper Tweed Cloth, (red/black, beige/white, green/white)

The only special addition at the time I can remember at the time was the Swing in Red/White, and was there a brown?

also has the 6 instrument clocks aswell

At the time only SR and GL's had 6 dial intruments (orange needles)

God I am really becoming an Anorak:tard:

as for seats i dont know, as previous owner sold it all off to use it for a track car, so its got 2 vectra seats in at the moment along with the dash, but its a brown dash, with under shelf, 6 instrument clocks with orange needles.
