here is my bid for most loaded up nova. it has 5 bikes, 1 full windsurf rig (incl 2 sails & wetsuits etc), a toolbox & 24 cans of beer......

I only see 5 bikes and 1 board ON this nova!!!

I read the post before looking at the pic and thought WOW thats a **** load of stuff to have on a roof rack......lol

and it seems someone has ****ted the NS pretty well :( I got the entire insides of a GSi into my old 1.2, with the seats folded down and 2 people in the front. So that's front and rear seats, any bits of trim etc, door cards, carpets (couldn't remember at the time if they were darker than standard and they were 'free' so)

Mate claimed to get all that plus a dash in one but I dunno how lol

the rust is on the underside of my bonnet... and it was gm factory fitted (some dago didn't put enough paint on)

i've moved house twice with a nova.....

my missus once bought a sofa off her mate at a party, we loaded it on the roof rack, and tied it down with string... the missus was doing 110 down the M(cough) when i woke up & reminded her......

mk999, the door was just some minor vandalism and it looks really bad in that light.. i have spare doors...

there were 4 blokes (all with our families).....

one still has his cider head on from going to croyde last month

one is teatotal

one is a pimms drinker, FROM WIGAN!!!!!!!! no wonder he lives in leics.....

so that left me to finish off the beer.

Is that a reflection running from the door to the quarter then? Looks like a massive scratch/dent?

it truly isn't that bad..the idiot employee who thought it was funny to drop things against it & on it when it was in my brothers workshop put minor dings on every panel. he also had a fantastic line in 'losing' equipment like hammers, shovels etc.... basically, anything he could do to get out of work.... so i obliged and made him out of work......

Right, this doesn't really count for gear that's loaded onto a Nova... but this is what you can stuff IN a Nova.

20 bottles of assorted alcoholic beverages (mmm more happiness)
full camping gear
sub and amp fitted in spare wheel well (with space saver spare tyre in situ)

...and one slightly mad driver ;)

bloody hell Niek that was some time ago!!!! I remember that weekend, vaguely lol


I once managed to get a Nova in a Nova, as in the whole lot, chopped into small pieces (not counting engine or interior) to take to the scrappy.

And one parts run over to Peterborough resulted in the gf at the time becoming a very uncomfortable passenger when we returned with a lot more than originally intended. Cant remember exactly what but there was but gsi bumpers, bonnet, wings and a few other parts were involved.

Full nova interior, 2 sets of rally wheels with tyres, an exhaust and suspension fills up a mk4 astra quite well too, also with a passenger!
