Has anyone had problems with a SCCR box chucking its oil out of the breather?

Since fitting this new box to my rally car I find that the gearbox and most of the NS of the engine bay is covered in gearbox oil.

I have been advised that the standard breather maybe too small and that I should enlarge it. Also that I should run 30% less oil in the box.

Before I devise a method of doing this I would like opinions from knowledgable PNG members.

Thanks

People have had this problem on the f28 gearboxes, i have seen people pull the plastic cap of, tap the hole for a push on fitting and conecting this to a breather tank. Seem to have solved there problems !!!

Imo the breather isnt big enough !

The F23 does this as STD lol

The 'cure' is a piece of hose on the breather with a crimped copper pipe in the open end to let air out but reduce the ability for the fluid to escape.

I'd not want to run with less oil in the box!!! talk to quaife about that part though.

surely a bit of flexi pipe up to the bulkhead with one of those gauzes with a ball bearing in incase you tip it over will be good enough.. proper off roading places would sell them, and i know that case tractors had them as fuel tank breathers...
