higher ratio 2nd gear?

hi, i have a 1.6 16v nova with a f13 cr gearbox that i use for autocross, i need a higer ratio 2nd gear because i run out of revs in 2nd gear and i will lose to much time changing into 3rd gear

Iirc 1,2,3,4 are all together and can't be split but 5th can be changed, try a wb gears?

ok, would their be much of a difference if i fitted a f13 wr box

Longer gears but slower acceleration

use a wide ratio box but change the Final Drive to a 4.18 or maybe a 4.53

ok i am going 2 have a look in a scrap yard later for a wr gearbox, what car would have one, astra?
