repair coil overs ?

Im guessing you mean the actual rod?! If so i think a new one is probably required unless they can fit a new rod. As Stuart said speak to the company who made them

So if Im thinking right youve sheared the threaded peice of the top of the insert??

If there cheapy cheap coilovers where the insert is fixed you'll need to buy a complete new unit. If there good spec ones with removable inserts (like Billys, Ohlins, LEDA's etc) just buy & fit a complete new insert.
