bad times have dawned, i just wrote off my little SR, i was going down some back roads within the speed limit, and came over a blind corner and at the crest of a hill was a deer, so i swerved but because my car was on the hill nothing happend, then i lost controll the back end came round clipped the verge sent me into the other verge (with a 2 meter drop into a field,) i then flipped tail over noise through the bushes and rolled 4 times in the field, me and my friend are soo lucky to be alive we have some scratches and stuff and a bump on the head where my head went through the side window. i would just like to say that im sorry for killing a SR :(

yeh, im aching a crap load today, just feel soo lucky, had a look around the car, and the rear pillar has smashed and cracked, the fronts bent in the only thing that saved us was the middle pillars holding the roof up....... and they were also cracked if they failed we would be dead.
just need to go through the insurance and stuff now.

this is similar to what happend to my friend exept he hit loose gravel the roof got squashed down till it was tuching the steering wheel he was in a corsa c and after seeing how well a nova holds up id rather have been you he broke his neck but finds it funny he is alive glad you got out of that ok dont no how you did tho

connor the engines ****ed lol, cams snapped where the bonnet smashed the dizzy and the cambelts fallen off coz the pulleys snapped that side aswell.

haha, what is very scary is how rotty novas are really, i had a look around it and the rear quarter is full of rust why it snapped from the inside out,
and both sills have folded where its rust and the floor pans shot up,
a little bit more pressure and i would have been a gonner

Why? He hit a deer, whats illegal about that? If he genuinely wasn't speeding, and judging by the damaged caused I'd say thats proportionate to a 50-60mph roll, then whats to worry? If the farmer suddenly decides to call the fuzz due to having a massive nova shaped hole in his hedge, cmax would get dibbled for leaving the scene/not reporting it.

Unfortunately, this kinda accident is one reason why older people have cheaper insurance (this isn't a dig at you btw cmax). A more experienced driver would know that animals are more threat on a dark country lane than other cars, so speed is reduced accordingly. Its just something you have to learn, in my first year or so of driving I had a few near misses with animals (one which resulted in me hedging my Nova, although it was repairable), so these days I take it quite slow at night.

Dont tell em ffs, get another motor quick and swap your policy to that, even if you tell them but dont claim it will go down on your history and nail you up the backbox for evermore!

Tbh even if you were fully comp, you'd be lucky to get anything more than £800 valuation, and out of that comes your excess. Plus you'd then spend out more each year on insurance due to having a claim on your record.

i was goin pretty fast, well not fast but for a pushbike was quick lol, the car was doin about 15mph lol i went straight into side of it and bike was bouncing all over car park getting some hight too cos of 100psi in tyres lol but its bent my forks and bars, easily reapirable but around 160 quid to replace lol

Sounds like a lucky escape mate, glad no one was badly hurt and everyone could walk away. Looks like the SR done it's best to protect everyone.

Although it's an SR fella, tis only bits of metal welded together so no need to feel bad.
