Nova Front uprights

My brother's nova has failed its MOT for excessive movement where the TRACK rods mount on the front HUBS.

He lives in Wolverhampton, and is desperate for a pair so the car can be passed this week.

Only thing I can think of is the bush is gone on the tie bar at the crossmember side

Track rod mounts? as in the ball joint that goes between the steering rack rods and the wheel hubs?

You won't have any bother buying these new anywhere, Corsa B use the same ones as Novas.

I do mean hubs. The hole where the track rod end bolts to the hub has opened up of 17years and is now an mot failure.

I should have paid more attention when creating this post... Less haste more speed.

I would have thought that its the ball joint that has worn, rather than the hole in the hub. The hub is a really solid bit of metal, where as the track rod end joints are a typical replaceable part.

agreed it will be the TRACK ROD ENDS that have the play in not the actual hub asembly :)

Thanks Stuart, but it had a new track rod end fitted earlier this year.

Tom, as always thanks mate! Paul can't drive the car though, no MOT. He said he'll be able to pop over on Monday and collect one. How much do you want?

Side note, do you still want a rack for the focus?

Get him to bring his hub over, it maybe useful for a rose joint conversion.
