i dont follow the whole rally thing, but how is he doing?

i always thought he was more of a show racer/stunter, and not the kind of guy who can race in an competition.

Ken Block usually does gravel rallying in the USA before he started in the WRC along with stunt driving and shows etc! He's not doing to bad, just learning the ropes to the WRC and is not used to doing tarmac events!

Look at the x games with Colin mcrae, rolled and still beat him... granted that was a while ago.

He just has a lot of money that Malcolm Wilson is quite happy to let him spend. I bet every rally Malcolm rubs his hands together when ken says he is racing, maybe orders another bottle of Don Perringion, sits back and says "lads, the milkybars are on ken!".

He's been doing American rallies for a while and held his own pretty good, but tbh Americans can't drive in anything other than an oval. So no real competition there.

He's only doing a partial season at the mo to get the hang of proper racing. Will be interesting to see how he goes next year, but to be honest I reckon it'll take him a few years at least before he shines.

Anyway, as WRC has died a death now, they're looking for money and breaking into America is one way of getting it. Involving Ken in the competition means the yanks have a reason to watch it, so in a way I hope he does do well as it would bring much needed dollars into the sport and hopefully additional manufacturers. So its not just a Ford vs Citroen weekend lol
