View Full Version : Any idea on how to get off with speeding?

Hi the other day i got caught speeding by the plod at 106mph.
he was hiding on the slip road at J37 howden on the M62. i didnt think they were allowed to hide any more? anybody know anymore info that i dont know? im waiting for a summons to go to court. hopefully it wont get here till after 6 months!!
contact a lawer mate best bet and when you go to court plede that you need your license for work/kids ect ect...

be prepared to say bye bye to your licence, does the road have signs for speed camera's? if yes then they can be where they like.
do you need the license for work, if so get your boss to write a letter saying so. btw i knew that beemer was quick.... :)

They stopped that ages ago matey.
We tried everything.
Over 100mph, is a 7day ban, upwards.
A member on here did the same, 110mph and got a 7 day ban.
Be prepared for an insurance reaming if your under 23ishlol
he has a traders policy iirc

EVERY case is different. Dont care what you say.
How do i know? I got caught doing 111mph on the M4 back in 2004 IIRC. Police informed me that it was a bannable offence. Me being the naive idiot at the time didnt realise this!! I already had 6 points on my license (3 for speeding and 3 for careless driving carried over from an accident prior, yes i drove like a **** in my early days!)
The outcome? I got 6 points (taking me to 12) and a £400 fine. Used the old i need my license for my job, got suited and booted was very humble and kept my license.
My license has been clean for nearly 2 years now. I have learnt my lessons the hard way.
Sorry for the long post, just felt that as i have been there i would share!

that was 2004.
I was in court 4 months ago, and the woman said, I dont care about your job, the law states a ban, so your getting a 12 month banlol

I used to be out every night and weekend driving round, now im stuck on here;)
or she instantly didnt like him, like us lot and did the world a favour.

The only thing I have been done for, I get banned for.
I was like FFSlol
If you can't do the time don't do the crime :)
I have learnt myself the hard way and wouldn't wish it upon anyone but it's the only way your going to learn is to be punished

Rubbish, the law does NOT state a ban. I know, I've read it.
Simple fact is the OP was speeding, knows he was speeding, and was caught. Tough luck.
