Quick Gearbox Question

Gearbox in question is F18 (I know all the Vaux boxes are very similar/if not the same).

Need to fill it up as the level is low (checked by a mate at a garage today).

He said that the actual filling hole is down in the depths of the gearbox. I bought a litre of gearbox fluid and want to know if I can fill it up from the breather plug (from the engine bay)?

yes, you can fill it from that plug. Unsure of your box, but my F15 is only filled via the top.

Well I only thought it was fillable from there but the geeza said it is actually filled from a hole by the drivers side inner cv.

you open the other plug & put oil in thru the breather and when it runs out of the plug, the level is ok.
