fuel gauge

hey everyone could some one help me when i start my car up my fuel gauge says i have over a full tank even if i dont so am just wondering if enyone nos wat that could be

Sender unit, gauge, wiring?

Floats probably stuck in the tank take the sender out and check if the float moves easily
