If you want to bore wash your cylinders, lose power & chuck fuel out the tail pipe, go for it.

There is a misconception that more fuel = more power. It doesnt.

No worriers mate, you'd be surprised how many people dont ask & then insist they have a 20bhp gain.

Seriously though, if it was that easy, Vauxhall would have added them & had power on par with the Pug 1.6 GTi or XR2i.

Admittedly the injectors from an XE or SEH will fit straight in, but the fuel flow would upset the mixture & not burn properly. Bore wash is when the presence of too much fuel actually washes down the bore walls & gets past the rings, into the oil & thinning it. It causes the hone marks on the bores to break down & the ring seal to fail, resulting in a loss of compression. All this whilst losing power wasting expensive fuel.

you can fit 2.0/xe injectors to a nova.. hundreds of people have done it......

as long as you fit a 2.0/xe engine too.

Have heard of 20xe injectors being fitted to higher spec 1600 8v's, so perhaps thats where the idea came from. In that case they might match what surrounds them! edit - group A spec on injection maybe
