Very good insurance quote *£1450 Fully Declared*
Just wanted opionions really. buy or hold out for another nova??
what i reckon, buy it and drive it for the year and then get another nova to put it in ready for next insurance renewal.
Just needs a little de chaving lol
Who cares about anybody elses opinion! LMAO!
You know what answer you will get off the blinkers brigade on here!
Be your own person ffs! Buy the car you want!
If you like it and want it, get it. Stuff what anyone else says, it's your money.
However I say get it. Be aware you can ignore this.

i.e. remove those crappy rear clusters
I'm not a big fan of Corsa's and this doesn't float my boat but if it stops and drives as it should then go for it.

Buy me thinks
+rep lol
or rehome it in a gen cav tubby :)
If the price is right buy it. I own a Corsa now cause the price was right and it does me fine
i think im being greedy wanting a turbo thou lol the 1.6 nova was quick enough lol.

the car has a gay number plate (gok as in gok wan)lol. and feck hell theres only a ball hairs clearence between that calliper and the wheel!
Its not bad, bin the lights and move the gauges out of the vents, but its nice. Lots of fun with the let too.
yea the calipers are under 16" and they look huge i was hoping to go 15" lol
He says there off an omega or carlton

There is no chance haha. the wheels look fine though bud.
If you can afford it, go for it. Insurance quote is good!
Needs a fair bit of work though to make it look nice. Fit the bonnet properly (lol), make the exterior look standard and as Benn said relocate those gauges.
bugger the gauges.... get the intake moved.. one decent puddle & say goodbye to the engine.
Nova >>>>>>> Corsa
Always

I say yes.
Just remember, its over 200bhp, and fwd.
So be careful.
Looks clean enough, and theres not 1000 wires in the bay.
Add to my list of things to do, declare engine conversion. lol
and jack the 1st thing i will be doing when i receive the v5
its all insured as a turbo running phase2, airfilter lol, wheels, brakes and coilovers.
my list is log change, sort air filter the guy works at halfords and its one of them carbon direct air things they any good? might just get a hKs mushroom, rip the lights off for standard.
i have been and looked at the car and the engine runs sweet no knocks no bangs, no smoking and no oil leaking and the shells clean aswell

Them airfilters arent bad.
Also, if you take off that gay cold air feed, they sound the mutts, and takes out that 180degree turn
Also, that "Boost" controller, looks suspect.
What has he wound the boost up too?
the guy works at halfords and its one of them carbon direct air things they any good? might just get a hKs mushroom, rip the lights off for standard.
i never thought i'd live to see the words halfords & good in the same sentence
that boost contoller will be coming out. didnt check the boost gauge
Halfords are no good
Twice in one day Mowgli
He got halfords and good in the same sentence
Halfords trade discount is good!
the engine looked really clean though but not to clean if you know what i mean still had road grime on it
He got halfords and good in the same sentence
Halfords trade discount is good!
so cheap crap is better than expensive crap?? ok,.
Its not all cheap crap!
I paid 93p for some bulba that should have cost me £6 the other day
The tools arent so bad, in the pro range anyhow! and they are on trade! as are batteries etc!
ok, tools were ok at my local until they stopped ordering new stock.......
bulbs come from trade suppliers with about 90% discount...
but their stock of parts & knowledge are woeful

1.6 is still same tax as a 2.0 so as long as its insured as a 2.0 I don't see the issue
still better to get it logged :)
still better to get it logged :)
correct answer
shall i chuck a tigra front end on it lol
lol do it!

me likes :) lol very different, ive not seen one before anyway
If your already thinking of putting the engine in a nova that kind of says you want a nova really
I would wait till the right nova comes up mate
i know but i could buy a shell in 6 months and build it ready in 6 months then it will be my own nova :) might have found an A reg 3 door hatch in green is all i know atm.
craig green

I dont like it, but from reading through it's a no-brainer really.
I agree with most comments & by the sounds of it, you could buy a LET Corsa far cheaper than a LET Nova anyhows.
tell me about it let nova on ebay is £5000 lol would rather a let nova anyday but it will work out better like this i think :)
get the engine in a car can be played with setup etc, while i build a nova how i want :) drop let in hey presto
1.6 is still same tax as a 2.0 so as long as its insured as a 2.0 I don't see the issue
The issue is its illegal, incorrect information on the V5c is an offence for a start.

ford ka anyone?
it looks good, but ffs change the intercooler and its idling high....
why does the cooler need changing? and how you know it idles high??
pic of dash, shes at 1300 rpm, and the cooler is the std cav turbo one, theyre known for not cooling enough....
Corsas are like Novas but better IMO.
PS standard, Fantastic Parts availability and came with a better spec choice as standard.
Novas had their day, everyone had one, never cared about them and now they're scarce which automatically means they're expensive, I mean £200 for a ****ty Brown interior or £150 for the bottom bit of a Front Bumper? FFS!!
Get it bought, loose the sPeedos and the Air intake and you're onto a WIN.
Looks like a good start.
Does it need all those gauges blocking the air vents? lol

Does it need all those gauges blocking the air vents? lol
Yes, as he has a bleed valve, so cant controll the boost without the guage.
And the wideband is a preindicator of the halfords airfiler being sucked through the boosterlol
All in, seems like a good car, just check things like, all the eml lights wired in, etc, makes for a tidier conversion:thumb:
odds on thats NOT a wideband ;)
odds on thats NOT a wideband ;)
agreed.
also:
And the wideband is a preindicator of the halfords airfiler being sucked through the booster
wtf is the "booster"? is it a booster seat? booster rocket?:wtf:
FLOL booster y0. Az it got noz?
Roth, make your sig smaller, amoeba on mars said its bloking out the sun lol
[edit] Why would the filter be sucked into the engine anyway if things go awry? Dodgy air fuel mix would just make the car run bad = less exhaust gas flow = slower turbine = less suck...?
Not going to read whats been said but how much is it? A let goes for around £1000. so if its around £1500 get it. put the engine in a nova and get a 20xe and fit in the corsa and sell for £1200
Buy it, de-chav it and enjoy! Simples.
2nd :)
its always gonna sell well
2000 is what I'm going to be paying. The thing is my patents want me to buy a car already modified for the year hense this. All I see is let £1500 with mounts and shafts then another £300 for the speedlines. So all in all I don't think it's a bad buy.
As already said after 6 months I will be buying another nova and getting it ready for the let
i think you know its a no brainer, so go buy it :D
Buy it and get some cheaper 16 inch wheels for it

Can't complain for £2k, could always break it at the end of the day.
Get it and have some fun and at the same time buy a nova shell and get it ready for the conversion ;)
buy it and shag slags at the local kroooooooooooze blud. jobs a goo un!

buy it,defo !
You prob know what im gona say...
Buy it. Few styling changes and it would be awesome.
Joe get it bought then get your ass down to mine and do me a deal on the speedlines!!
you know you want some tidy cesaros for it ;)
lol ive got 2 sets of cesaros, 1 set of slabs, some 16" vectra sri wheels 4 stud.
But looking at the brakes i dont think 15" will fit on it :(
