As mentioned in my WIP I have melted the crank position sensor on the Volvo and getting a new one will take too long (atm).

All that is damaged on mine is a section of the outer sheath and a section of the foil type sheilding. The 3 wires inside are fine. Is the shiedling just there to protect the one of the wires that has no insulation?

Can I just tape it up with insulation tape and expect it to work, or will I get interference now?

I would try it but I am having to repair other parts of the loom so I can't fire up the car at present.

If pics are required let me know. :thumb:

Trim the outer cable back slightly to show oiginal foil at both ends, then cover the cable with foil and overlap at each end, tape back up and it should be ok for a quick fix!

Or just tape it and hope for the best!lollollollol

Apparently it requires the gay valve to have the connectiosn looped or it throws codes, and I assume runs like ass.
