Basically I got told I could use my e16se fwheel and clutch so I could stay f13 but the fwheel boltholes dont match the crank.
I tried the seh clutch cover and 16se centre but the clutch catches inside the bellhousing of my f13. Do I really need a f16 or is there a particular clutch / fweel combo used?
Thanks in advance, chris

I didn't think you could use a big block with a small block box

Ithink you need the 1.5td flywheel and gsi clutch plate mate.

Yea mazz alot of the autograss guys use xe's with the f13 box.

astra mk2/3 1.7d flywheel & clutch are needed. i have heard something about the input shaft spigots not being right, don't go quoting me on it..

big editty type thing...... which engine did you get the gearbox from.....? are you sure its an f13, as in from a 1400mpi, or 1600 the early carb ones are an f10 and the bellhousings are smaller

Its starting to be a pain in the **** this conversion.
If I source a f16 will my gte shafts fit? Theres not gonna be many 1.5td fwheels out there

You'll need the F16 CV's too

One more question...
The front mount, where can I get hold of one?

mowgli

isn't it the same as the xe?

or do you just redrill it?

mk1nova_rich

yes slightly different hole locations on the SEH mount, but they can be redrilled. Look in the 2.0 fitting guide in Articles im pretty sure it mentions it in there

http://www.valvers.com/products.php?p=4

if you look at the mount, it has 3 holes and the engine you use depends on which 2 of these 3 holes are used to gain the correct height

you need a flywheel from a 1.7 derv (non turbo) and a gte/gsi clutch and itll bolt straight in no need to change anything else or if you cant get a derv fly a gte flywheel will bolt up if you open the bolt holes up a bit theyre slightly smaller than a seh one. ive done this on my old nova and on my corsa c

I have always believed, its a mk2/3 astra diesel engine (GM)

With a nova GTE clutch?

Thats what a mate of mine runs in his autograss car:thumb:

i don't think there is much difference between the diesel clutch & the gte one. the diesel one probably has a bigger spring force

Ahh, I thought the diesel clutch had a differant sized pressure plate:confused:

Probably not, just my mate said run a GTE clutch, so only passing on the advice:thumb:

I was thinking before... Isnt a nova td fwheel dished not flat? Is a 1.7 d flat?
