If it is a genuine group N engine, then its a cheap way of making a rally car go well down the lanes.

I would want to take the head off first though lol

Group N engine is nothing special at all IMO

but group n is basically std, apart from possibly a modified ecu.

i know all about the 'blueprinting' and all that from the old days but even so, an engine in that state is not going to be making anything like what it should.

baffled sump, very light headwork and modified ECU i think

Seen that before, iirc he even states in the advert he doesn't know what been done to it, only that 'someone told' him it Group N when he bought it lol

Starting with the engine, not a great deal can
be done to a normally aspirated engine under
Group N regulations apart from blueprinting,
which is not cost effective. The basic engine
design and component finish is to such a high
standard that the need for excessive individual
component preparation is minimal. However,
there is some scope for a power increase as a
result of re-programming the ignition and fuel
electronic control units, and these modified
components are now generally available on the
aftermarket.

baffled sump, very light headwork and modified ECU i think

it would be better to run a std engine thats done 30000miles.
