So there's no benefits from one to the other apart from condition? Both the same power out put?

Gte E16SE as it has no cat, no lamda and there is plenty of them around.

Errr i thought the were in laymans terms the same engine were they not, only real difference was one had a cat as standard and the other did not!

if you have already got a c14se, then the gsi c16se will be a bit easier to fit.

other than that, there isn't much in it. the astra mk3 used the c16se, so there are more about

Errr i thought the were in laymans terms the same engine were they not, only real difference was one had a cat as standard and the other did not!all gte's were e16se's early gsi's were also the same e16se, however this was changed to the c16se which basically used a completely different engine management system and imo a better one. there were also internal changed but the power output remained the same

Does the e16se you'd a distributor? As thinking about future mods like bike carbs

e16se has a distributor, early c16se has one, later one has dispack.

from what i can glean from a bosch manual i've got, the ignition circuit is pretty much separate from the ecu, but i'm still working on it

It would be though wouldn't it as it's using the distributor for the ignition timing
