Hello!
I'm Ben and have just taken delivery of a MK1 Nova 1.2 Merit.
Its a 1987 model with 22 000 miles on the clock (thats right!!!) its slightly rusty, which can be expected and needs some updating before it is released back on public roads.
If there is a newbie section where i should of posted this, please tell, i'd hate to be annoying on my first post! haha

Chipchase is an unusual sirname!
my dad is a geordie and apparently there is a castle round the newcastle area and some of the servents and stuff used the name of the house to make them sound posh! If only thy could see into the futre and see what chips are in the 21st century!
15 posts :thumb: start a project thread with lots of pics :)

Thanks everyone! I decided just to pay straight away, i know i'll be on here for a good while so a tenner seems like nothing for the advice and stuff i'll recieve.
my plans are to put some ATS classics wheels on (or similar) lower it a bit on coilovers and SR spec it up on the outside, just keeping the same engine, maybe put a pancake air filter on - that'll do for now :)
mk1nova_rich
22-08-10, 12:43 PM
sounds a good plan mate, i would go for the early SR spec with ATS classics (ie, snowplough and one piece bumper/grille) then an SR boot spoiler :thumb:

i was thinking minilites too? I'm gonna get the insurance sorted and stuff and do the major bodywork then start on the modding.
mk1nova_rich
22-08-10, 12:51 PM
Minilites dont seem to suit Novas too well, especially the hatch but yeh get the bodywork done first to stop it rotting!! :)
Only just spotted this...
Welcome mate

no the admin and moderators work well to rid the site of chavs and thankfully it is full of genuine enthusiasts who are into tastefully modified and standard Novas :d
