Anyone fancy giving me a run through of replacing the rear shocks

do I need to support the axle when removing the shocks? Or can I change them with the tyres touching the ground?

Either.

If your shock threads are funked, youll have to grip them tightly with mole grips.

1 17mm bolt on the beam.

And one 15 or 17 inside the car.

So I can jack the car up enough to get under and undo the bolts but leaving the tyre touching the ground

soak all the nuts in wd40 the nite before. put it in 1st gear, jack the car up, use some axel stands, undo the 2 lower shock bolts, support the axel with a trolley jack, undo the top bolts. becareful as the springs may fall out. 25mins each side. worked for me but im sure some peps do it their own way. do you not have a haynes bible?

not a nova but you get the idea... http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1208460516/0
