what do i need to do to wire 2 rad fans up?????

wired them up without thinking today turned them on and felt the wire getting hot so unpluged on for now im no sparky so have no clue what i need to do any ideashttp://images.migweb.co.uk/smilies/confused.gif

what wire thickness you using? asd 2 fans draws a hell of a current. if it was me id rip the fan circuit out and start again with decent wire.

im just running if of the standard nova loom i was just going to run one but the c20lets get alittle hot under the hood

as Rob says trace the fan wiring back through the loom to the fusebox and replace with thicker wire. Probably more work than you were planning on doing but it will be more reliable and far less prone to fire or other failure so it is definitely worth doing it in my opinion, especially with a tuned LET

Then its just a case of splitting the wires near the fans to go to both. Best using some form of connector plug

could you not just use a relay and use the standard fan to trigger the second one? like wiring spot lights? a bit easier than stripping out looms etc.

yes you cant use a relay and that would be a lot easier just bring a constant live from the battery to relay using a fuse on the live wire. will be easier and just as reliable

What i was about to say, Or make up a whole new loom but just have it all in the engine bay, relay is the best option though.
