in the haynes there is a 20 amp fuse on a cav fuel pump.
as far as i can tell from the bosch info, there isn't one fitted on the small block mpi setups. their reasoning was something to do with the pump switching in drawing huge ampage for short periods of time...
So no fuse to the fuel pump just the relay
no. no fuses to either, it is controlled by switching circuits inside the ECU
Sounds wierd not having a fuse between the ecu and battery not so much the pump
I have a fuse online for both but it's heating the fuse up that's for the ecu and ends up melting after a while
are you beginning to see why there isn't one fitted from the factory, like i said.. they use thermal cutouts so the stuff is safe.
That sounds more like it lol, the fuel pump will still need a fuse though won't it
Ok thanks 14awg wire ok to use for the power to the ecu and pump yeah?
i'm using 16a whatever that is in new money.
