Is it ok to replace the fuel lines under the car with rubber pipe or do they have to be metal for the pressure

I dont hink they will, from what has been said in the past! i think the LET pumps run at 5-6 bar, or there-abouts! so if the spi lines are rubber, they mite wanna give way!

spi ones are fine (rob runs them on his phase 3.5 nova) i run them on my 2.0 16v

but i would replace the 1" bit of rubber inside the tank from the pump to the holder.... cause it burst on robs (mainly from old age)

but the astra mk4 ones are easily got from vauxhall scrappys and are long enough to replace rotten gte/gte/sri ones (cause the pump is right at the back of the car)

u can use fuel hose instead of pipe but it needs to be competition spec high pressure hose and its well expensive! stick to gsi pipes or the astra ones like ste said.

sorry to change the subject but do you actually need to use the let pump when fitting a let engine or can you use the gsi one as you would when fitting a normal valver?

whats the best out of tank pump to use for the conversion?
