Seen this on an audi forum...some crazy milages seen(317000miles on one 717000km on another!!)...so i thought id put one on here.

My 1300 - 49k with service history.
Cav gsi 178k before rot set in but engine was insanely smooth on the RR
cav 2.0 8v 230k before rot set in
Nova 1.2 - 140k before rot set in

i fully expect they could have gone double that...if it wasnt for the rot

Most of my cars have done 40k to 80k except my corsa 1.0 12v.... A wooping 169,000 miles. Original engine!

Needed a fair amount of work, but even with that super miles the shell is almost perfect.

had just over 500,000 on it original engine. :eek:
spoke to the owner of the garage and my old boss, and he said to me it came in the other day with 580,000 flywheel and clutch just gone

GT-Four, 172k and only just run in. I don't consider that massive mileage either, for a 15 year old car thats less than average (<12k/year). Engine is still running fine, why wouldn't it be?

Xe in my van, removed from an '89 Cav Gsi has over 214k on it and its quiet as a mouse and pulls like it did when it was new.

My 1.poo Nova was on 80k when I sold it and still soldiering on.

My current Audi 80 has just done 120k and I hope it'll carry on to do the same again!

we replaced the engine just to be sure, and the newer engine was slower lol.

it was a great engine, no oil use or anything.

it had a lot of new parts, but the head, valves, pistons, crank, oil pump etc, where all the original items, never replaced them.

just replaced simple items, like the cams and lifters.

we still have it, it's going in his kadett C coupe.

Nova is on 74k, was on 67k when I bought it 9 years ago.

MR2 is on 127k, not bad for 24 years but no idea what the engine is on.
